Steve Irwin's Itinerary

The duration of the expedition at this stage is around two weeks, with the following planned itinerary:

  • Friday August 5th 2016 – Steve Irwin departs ship operations base – Seaworks, Williamstown, Victoria, Australia – Event details
  • Sunday August 7th  – Steve Irwin to visit Victor Harbor – Event details
  • Sunday August 7th 12:00 PM - Cruise by wave hello – stop on return
  • Tuesday August 9th - Pearson Island – Gathering natural footage
  • Thursday August 11th Isles of St Francis  – Gathering natural footage
  • Thursday August 11th - Tuesday August 16th - Fowlers Bay and Head of the Bight region. Worlds biggest southern right whale nursery – Gathering natural footage
  • Saturday August 20th - Sunday August 21st – Free public tours in Port Adelaide showcasing to the public through footage the areas of the Bight that would be affected by a spill. First time a Sea Shepherd vessel will be come into port in South Australia. Event details
  • Saturday August 20th – Fight for the bight concert with John Butler. Event details
  • Monday August 22nd - Wednesday August 24th – Kangaroo Island meet and greet with the media, government, councils and officials, while media production team capture natural footage. We will also hold a presentation in town with speeches and footage, expressing our support for Kangaroo Island and their concerns for BP.
    • August 22nd - 4PM Ship's arrival - Meet & Greet with the community by the crew onshore at Kingscote Jetty Event details
    • August 22nd - 6:30-9:30PM Forum discussion MC'd by Mayor Peter Clements. Event details
  • Friday August 26th – Return to ships operations base – Williamstown – Event details TBA
