From organising events week after week to welcoming supporters aboard the Allankay during her time in town, this team has poured heart and soul into everything they do.

Their dedication extends beyond events, it’s in the way they support our crew, engage the public, and raise awareness for ocean conservation across Tasmania. A special thank you to Michael and Maria whose leadership and passion have taken the chapter to a new level and firmly placed Sea Shepherd on the map in Hobart.

The Sapphire Coast Chapter has quickly grown into a strong, united team making a real impact for the oceans. Thanks to the leadership of Tara, and the incredible energy and dedication of the entire crew, this chapter has built a proud Sea Shepherd presence along the Sapphire Coast.

This award is a reflection of what’s possible when passionate people come together with a shared mission. From running events to cleaning beaches and raising awareness, the team has worked side by side to defend the oceans and inspire their community.
