Sea Shepherd Australia's Ocean Defence Tour kicks off today in Melbourne - the first in a series of exciting events travelling Australia to raise awareness and funds to keep our ships on the frontlines of Ocean Conservation. The tour will be stopping off at the Sapphire Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

Audiences will be the first in Australia to see Sea Shepherd's powerful new documentary Before The Last Octopus -  uncovering the fight to end illegal octopus fishing in the Mediterranean - screening exclusively at the Ocean Defence Tour 2026.

Following the premiere, hear directly from Peter Hammarstedt – Director of Campaigns & Chair of Sea Shepherd Australia, and Dirk Holman - Australian Sea Lion Defence Campaign Leader & Threatened Species Researcher. They will be sharing firsthand stories from the frontlines of marine conservation, and the ongoing fight to protect our oceans.
