Watson: A Sustainable Screening for Sea Shepherd

Thursday, 03 Sep, 2020

Join Sea Shepherd and Federation Square this #SustainableSeptember to follow one man’s journey to protect marine life.

Like a crime-fighting superhero of the high seas, Sea Shepherd Founder Captain Paul Watson has spent his life sailing the globe to keep our oceans and its creatures safe.

On September 14th, we will be hosting a free online screening of ‘Watson’ - a 2019 documentary that melds contemporary interviews with Captain Paul Watson, archival clips of Sea Shepherd's dramatic encounters, alongside breathtaking underwater footage.

"Watson blends [a] terrifying message with glimmers of hope and triumph, and this riveting documentary should be required viewing for all.”

– Los Angeles Times.

The film will be followed by a LIVE Q&A with Paul Watson. Just leave your question in the comments section of the Facebook event page to hear more from this environmental activist and icon!

Register today to receive your confirmation code, as well as delicious vegan recipes from Sea Shepherd’s galley so you can enjoy a #MeatFreeMonday at home while watching the film.

In addition to the Watson screening, there will be a pre-film screening of short Sea Shepherd films and an introduction from Sea Shepherd Australia's Managing Director Jeff Hansen.

- Please note, Watson contains images that people may find upsetting and is rated M for strong themes.
