People Power in Action!

Clean-up after clean-up, our Marine Debris crews together with community members across Australia are protecting local habitats and preventing plastic waste from entering the ocean.

In the past seven months, we’ve hosted 74 community clean-ups, and with the help of over 1,100 volunteers, we've removed 2.6 tonnes of trash from Australia’s coastline. A total of 175,188 individual debris items were sorted and entered into our National Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Database.
